They are the last thing left of the human spirit.However, mankind is not dead.
There is technology that can transfer memories to these robots, but since they only have so much room, new memories will eventually overwrite the old ones.
So that the feelings in people’s memories wouldn’t disappear, the robots turned them into music and put them in a place called Cytus.
The robots use these songs to feel what humans feel and to dream that each of them has a soul.
